Who is a Camper?
A camper is a Girl Scout (if not a registered Girl Scout, add $25 to registration) who will be going into grades 1st grade - 5th grade in the fall of 2024.
I'm going into 6th grade, what am I?
Campers going into 6th grade are considered a LIA (Leader-in-Action), see the section about LIA.
I'm going into 7th Grade, what am I?
Girl Scouts going into 7th grade are considered PAITs (Program Aide-in-Training), see PAITs.
What Do Campers Do?
Campers will be split into "units" based on the grade that they will be attending in the fall. These units have 6-16 campers, depending on the grade level. Each unit has at least two adult volunteer leaders and at least two trained 8th-12th grade PAs.
Units will include girls from a mixture of different schools and troops.
During the week, campers will adventure around camp in their units, learn various outdoor skills, go on hikes, make arts and crafts, sing songs, make new friends and much, much more!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING?
What to Bring: Make sure to label everything!

Lunch* in an insulated lunch box with ice

Small backpack
*Due to a large amount of campers with peanut/nut allergies, please refrain from bringing food items that contain peanuts/nuts.
What to Wear: It is important your camper is wearing appropriate clothing. They will be checked as they load buses.

Camp Shirt: Provided on the first day and must be worn every day. Camp shirts may not be altered at all in anyway until Friday, when they are allowed to be signed.

Nametag: Unit leaders will distribute each day. Please make sure to bring it back to camp with you the next day if accidentally taken home.

Shorts or Long Pants: Skirts are not appropriate camp attire.

Sturdy Shoes and Socks: Absolutely NO open-toed shoes, flip-flops or sandals.

If your camper does not wear appropriate footwear, they will have to sit out of activities for the day until appropriate shoes are found or brought to camp.

Hat and Jacket or Rain Gear: As Needed

Face mask/covering and/or extra masks if needed
CAMPER RULES & THINGS TO KNOW

No camper is to leave the camp area.

Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times.

A face covering must be worn at all times, including on the bus. Exceptions are made when eating or drinking water.

No toys, cell phones, or other electronic devices are allowed. If cell phones are seen, they can be held until the end of the day. We will provide all of the entertainment you need!

Medications must be labeled with the campers name and be in original containers. A signed "Medication Permission" form must accompany the medication. All medications must be turned into the Camp Nurse. It is the camper's responsibility to pick up any medication at the end of the day and/or at the end of the camp week. Campers who require inhalers and/or EPI-Pens must carry it with them at all times.
